West Fraser, formerly Norbord Mississippi LLC, a diversified wood products company producing lumber, OSB, LVL, MDF, plywood, pulp, newsprint, wood chips, and energy located in Guntown, MS is currently accepting applications from qualifieds individuals for the position of: Production Technician Production Technicians are responsible for the daily operation of manufacturing equipment that produces oriented strand board (OSB) and are responsible for safe operation, producing quality OSB, achieving production targets, and maintaining all equipment at a very high standard. This position must be willing to work in 12 hour rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation. a. Millwright -This position will be responsible for the inspection, operation, or testing of machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. Manage small projects, coordinate installations and down day work assignments and carry out initiatives in support of the Mill objectives. Collaborate with team members to ensure tasks are completed in a safe, timely and cost efficient manner. This position must be willing to work in 12 hour rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation as needed. b. Area Engineer-The OSB Area Engineer is central to the technical and process control expertise of the OSB Operation. The scope of this position is to drive continuous improvement results through, data based and priority setting, decision making. This position will also improve mill reliability by strategically aligning the mills daily activities to best practice standards, and measure results. The Area Engineer will have a strong interaction with both the equipment, as well as the maintenance and operation personnel.
