The Payroll Clerk is responsible for processing and completing time cards. Each daily time card is to be checked for account numbers, description of work, wage payments, date, employee number, shift clock in and clock out, supervisor’s approval, SUB information if needed and that all extensions are figured correctly. Challenge all unusual wage payments to prevent incorrect wage payments that can establish a precedent for future situations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interaction primarily within function.
- Handles outside calls from employees about payroll issues.
- Assists department personnel with questions they may have with department policies.
- Detail oriented with good interpersonal skills.
- Obtains approval on discrepancies.
- Ability to establish priorities and meet individual deadlines.
- Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Work requires continual attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks and demands.
Reqired Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1-2 years working experience preferred
- Experience with SAP and WorkForce Software is a plus
